Parent Contact Support
Some school sites are having difficulty reaching parents by phone or email. We have been advised that all communications should come from the school site or MDUSD. Teachers & Principals can now use the district provide Language Line for ALL students (including Spanish), if no one at the site is able to make a phone call from the school site and speaks the parent's primary language. The phone call should come from the school site, so a familiar MDUSD phone number appears to the parent as an incoming call.

English Learner & Newcomer Support
All EL students should be encouraged to use the Imagine Learning program "Imagine Language & Literacy" to meet the requirement for ELD instruction 20-30 minutes daily. This program can be found in Clever. This is self-contained program where students will take an initial placement assessment and then lessons will be assigned individually to a student based on their English proficiency level. This program meets our ELD goals for: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing.
Imagine Language & Literacy usage recommendations for each grade level.
