This program is designed for students to learn stage and set design, set construction, sound and lighting engineering, and theater management. Teamwork, creativity and problem solving skills will be enhanced as they prepare for stage productions at your school and showcase your theater crew's work at competitions.

House Manager

Description: responsible for overseeing all front-of-house (lobby) operations and ensuring a positive audience experience during performances.

Stage Management

Description: involves coordinating various teams, managing technical elements like lighting and sound, and facilitating communication between all involved parties. Essentially, stage managers are the glue that holds a production together, supporting the director and ensuring everything runs seamlessly.

Sound Management

Description: encompasses the strategic control of audio elements to enhance the overall audience experience. It involves tasks like sound design, equipment setup, and performance-time adjustments to ensure clarity, atmosphere, and impactful storytelling through sound.

Costume Management

Description: encompasses the practical and administrative aspects of handling costumes throughout a production, from initial design to the final performance. Props Management

Description: encompasses the entire process of handling all the items used on stage during a performance, from acquisition to storage and maintenance. This includes sourcing, budgeting, organization, and ensuring props are available and in good condition for rehearsals and performances.

Lighting Management

Description: encompasses the design, implementation, and operation of lighting systems to enhance a theatrical production. This involves selecting appropriate fixtures, creating a lighting plot, programming cues, and supervising the lighting crew during performances. Effective lighting management elevates the visual experience, sets the mood, and guides the audience's focus.

Description: video management encompasses the planning, creation, and presentation of visual media to enhance and integrate with live performances. It involves using video technology to create immersive and dynamic visual experiences that enhance the overall impact of a performance including streaming.

Special Effects Team

Description: techniques used to create illusions and enhance the visual and dramatic elements of a stage production. These effects can range from simple lighting and sound cues to complex mechanical and digital illusions, aiming to immerse the audience and enhance the storytelling.
