Show Choir

Mater Dei Show Choir is a dynamic, award-winning performance ensemble that combines advanced choral singing with choreographed dance, often built around a cohesive narrative theme. The group is composed of students from various high school grade levels, fostering collaboration, discipline, and artistic excellence.

Under the direction of Musical Director Joseph Advento, the mission of the Mater Dei Show Choir is to cultivate an outstanding ensemble that demonstrates strong vocal performance and precise, engaging choreography. In addition to its competitive pursuits, the group plays an active role in supporting the school’s choral program and regularly performs in school showcases and events.

The ensemble has earned notable recognition, including a third-place finish at John Burroughs High School in Hollywood and a first-place award at Universal Studios. The group has also had the distinguished opportunity to perform at Disney California Adventure.
