Who can participate in the Seerah Competition?
The competition includes different opportunities for different age groups: 

• the online written competition for Grades K–12 and college

• the speech contest for ages 16 and up

• the Adult Seerah Challenge for ages 18 and up

What are the categories for the written competition?
The written competition categories are:

• Grades K–2

• Grades 3–4

• Grades 5–6

• Grades 7–8

• High School

• College

When will the competition take place?
In shaa Allah, the competition will take place on May 16.

Is the written competition online?
Yes, the written competition will be held online.

What study material will participants be tested on?
Participants will only be tested on the study material downloadable on this website.

What is the registration fee?
The registration fee is $13 per participant.

What if I need a scholarship?
If a scholarship is needed, please email seerah@mcws.org.

Is the speech contest online or in person?
The speech contest will be in person, in shaa Allah.

When and where is the speech contest?
The speech contest will be held on May 16, in shaa Allah, at 5:00 PM in the MCWS Gym.

How long should the speech be?
Each speech should be 5 minutes long.

What is the dress code for the speech contest?
Participants should wear modest Islamic attire. Hijab is required for girls.

What is the Adult Seerah Challenge?
The Adult Seerah Challenge is a simple and inspiring way for adults to learn the Seerah together, reflect on its lessons, and stay connected through a shared WhatsApp group.

How does the Adult Seerah Challenge work?
Participants register, join the WhatsApp group, listen to lecture links shared every 2 to 3 days, and post reflections in the group. Anyone who shares at least 5 reflections or lessons will be eligible for awesome prizes, in shaa Allah.

Are there coaching sessions for the competition?
Yes. We offer online coaching sessions to help participants go through the full material and prepare for the competition.

Are the coaching sessions mandatory?
No, the coaching sessions are not mandatory, but they are one of the most helpful ways to prepare well for the competition.

When are the coaching sessions?
In shaa Allah, coaching sessions will be held on:

• Saturday, April 18

• Saturday, April 25

• Saturday, May 2

• Saturday, May 9

What time are the coaching sessions?
The coaching sessions are from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM EST.

Are the coaching sessions online?
Yes, all coaching sessions are online.

Will the coaching sessions be recorded?
Yes. All sessions will be recorded and shared with registered participants.

Will there be separate coaching sessions for each category?
Yes. Separate sessions will be held for each category so participants can learn at the right level.

What can participants expect in the coaching sessions?
Participants can expect full material review, engaging teaching, fun games, interactive review, helpful tips, and much more.

How will important updates be shared?
Important updates will be shared through our Constant Contact email platform and other competition communication channels.

Should participants or parents unsubscribe from Constant Contact emails?
No. Please do not unsubscribe from Constant Contact, as it will be one of the main ways important updates, reminders, instructions, and competition details are shared.

When and where is the prize ceremony?
In shaa Allah, the prize ceremony will be held on May 16 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at MCWS.

What is the prize ceremony like?
The in-person prize ceremony is one of the most awaited events of the year for many families. There will be prizes for all participants, and winners will receive additional exciting prizes. There will also be food, fun, and games, in shaa Allah.

Is this competition only for one community?
This competition is open to anyone, from anywhere in the world. While it serves our wonderful Canton and surrounding communities, participation is not limited to just one community.

Is this competition about competing against others?
No. This competition is about learning and growth, not competing against one another. Everyone who scores 90% or above will receive awesome prizes, in shaa Allah.
