Pre-Engineering & Manufacturing Technology

Students will learn how to become successful leaders in manufacturing and develop 21st century skills employable in a technology-driven marketplace. They will succeed in mechatronics, a blended curriculum of electronics, mechanical, and computers, which can readily be used for employment or pursuit of an advanced degree in Engineering or Technology.

Students will be working with Robotics, Programmable Logic Controllers, Electronics and Power Distribution, CNC Milling, Mechanical Power Transmission, Lifting Mechanisms, Pneumatics, Hydraulic Power Systems, Integrated Mechatronic Systems, and a diverse maker space.



A program that prepares individuals to apply basic engineering principles and technical skills to the identification and resolution of production problems in the manufacture of products. Includes instruction in machine operations, production line operations, engineering analysis, systems analysis, instrumentation, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electric, hydraulic and pneumatic control systems, process control, robotics, automation, computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), manufacturing planning, quality control, and informational infrastructure.
