Decorate a pumpkin to look like any book author or character. You author or character must be school appropriate & hand drawn. Please see Ms. Bailey to get a blank pumpkin; pumpkins are flat wooden cutouts 11"x10". Use anything you like to turn your pumpkin into a character or author (paint, markers, glue, paper, pipe cleaners, etc). You can enter up to 2 pumpkins.

Please write your name, along with the book title & author, on the back of your pumpkin.

Submit your pumpkin to Ms. Bailey by Wednesday, October 29. Voting will take place on October 30 & 31. Winners will be announced October 31.

If you don't have one you can get one by doing the following:

Go to the McCormick County Library at 610 South Mine Street.

Bring a photo ID, such as a driver's license or state ID.

You'll need to show proof that you live in McCormick County. (mail, bill, etc.)

Fill out the library's application form at the library.

If the card is for a child or student under 18, a parent or guardian must sign the application. 

Write a two sentence story about the picture above. The story must be your own creation, not written by someone else or by AI. It must use correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, etc. No inappropriate language will be accepted.
