All of the challenges below are completely optional, but we do encourage you to participate in at least one activity. Some are will be available all year while others will change monthly.

Points accumulated throughout the year can be used to purchase prizes on prize days (TBD). Join the library ClassDojo to keep track of your points. See the Prizes page for more information about the prizes you can purchase with your points.

Yearly Library Challenges

Student Suggestions Bookmarks

Every participant will receive 5 library points per book. These must be books that are available in the MHS Library.

Create a bookmark to go along with your suggested book. You can use Canva, Google Drawing, handwrite/draw your own, etc.
- Booksmarks must be 3"x6".
- Your bookmark must include the book title & author, your name, a 1-3 sentence reason for suggesting it, & an image relating to the book in some way. You can also include a picture of yourself if you wish to do so.
- Bookmarks must include correct grammar, spelling, & punctuation. They are not allowed to use any inappropriate images or words.
Give your bookmark & the book to Ms. Bailey to add to the display.

Student Suggestions Book Slides

Every participant will receive 5 library points per book. These must be books that are freely available online through a reputable vendor. If you are unsure, please ask Ms. Bailey.

Create a Google Slide to go along with your suggested book.
Your Slide must include the book title & author, your name, a 1-3 sentence reason for suggesting it, an image relating to the book in some way, & where the book can be found online. You can also include a picture of yourself if you wish to do so.
Sides must include correct grammar, spelling, & punctuation. They are not allowed to use any inappropriate images or words.

MHS Reading Challenge

Every participant will receive 10 library points per book.

Read any book of your choice, but it must be written for middle or high school (ie: picture books & beginning chapter books like Junie B do not count).
For each book you read, complete the MHS 2025-2026 Reading Challenge using your school email address. You will get one drawing entry per book.

Book Review

Log into Destiny Library via ClassLink. Write a 5 sentence book review about one of our books. The review must be your own creation, not written by someone else or by AI. It must use correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, etc. No inappropriate language will be accepted. No spoilers will be accepted.

Social Media Test Drive

Every participant will receive 5 library points per activity.

Complete at least one Social Media Test Drive module.
Email a screenshot of your quiz to Ms. Bailey. You must receive 5/5 points on the quiz in order to be accepted; you have 3 tries to get that score.

Join the Library ClassDojo

Join the Library ClassDojo to keep track of your points throughout the year. You will earn 1pt just for joining.

2. Click "Sign in with Google"

3. Sign in with your Google account

4. Enter the 6-letter code (email Ms. Bailey for the code, codes are only good for 3hrs)
