How to take notes while reading a primary or secondary source in Ms. Keller's Class

When an assignment is titled, Read/Highlight, it means you color code the reading using the following:

Yellow= Key terms, vocabulary, or terminology

Green= definitions or explanations for key terms (green explains yellow)

Blue= important people, places, events, or dates

Green= definitions or explanations for important people, places, events, or dates (green explains blue)

Orange= quotes

Purple= I do not understand this, I have questions about this, new vocabulary

Pink= information that is important or something I want to remember

How to study smart for Ms. Keller's online classwork

1. cleanup desk/table

2. get your textbook

3. get your spiral notebook

4. grab some pens/highlighters/colored pencils

5. get a class of water

6. get a healthy snack

7. turn off phone

8. Set a time for 15-25 to work uninterrupted (take a 5-10 minute break) and start over until work is complete

9. take a deep breath
