Teaching is an absolute passion of mine! I am excited to work with you and your child! It’s going to be a year full of fun, learning, and lots of adventures and I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us! I thought you might like to know a little bit about me.
I am married to my wonderful husband, Troy. We have a daughter {Sophia} who is 14 and a son {Ellington} who is 12. We are always up for an adventure. When we aren't teaching you can find us hiking, running, rock climbing, camping, fishing, or swimming!
My family moved from Ohio 11 years ago. I graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelors in Elementary Education and earned my Masters in Educational Administration from the University of Akron.
This will be my 19th year in education. I began my Kindergarten career with alternate day Kindergarten and have since taught All Day Everyday Kindergarten. I absolutely love teaching Kindergarten! It is my mission to instill a love for learning in my students. I believe in holding students accountable for their learning and behavior while creating a supportive environment where they feel safe to grow. Mistakes are seen as opportunities to learn, and I strive to balance high expectations with understanding and compassion. My goal is to help each student build confidence, responsibility, and resilience, knowing they are supported every step of the way.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. It is so important to keep communication open between us and I would to talk to you whenever you feel the need! I look forward to a great year together!
