All GATE students will have an Advanced Learning Plan (ALP) in place within a semester of GATE identification. ALPs focus on:
the student's strength area
setting long-term educational goals
addressing social & emotional needs
Once the ALP is in place, it is shared with classroom teachers and will be updated annually with input from students, teachers, and parents.
Students must do their part to reach their full potential. To make our classroom a supportive learning environment, students are responsible for the following:
being on time for scheduled content (meetings, office hours, etc.)
being prepared with their materials & supplies
being respectful & cooperative
completing all assignments to the best of their ability
being responsible for their words, actions, & achievement
