I have been teaching for 26 years, 9 years in California at the middle school level and 17 years here in Montrose. I have worked with gifted students almost my entire career, and I was in a GATE program when I went through school. I graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology, and I have a M.A. in Education: Curriculum and Instruction from Chapman University. I spend my spare time watching NFL games, quilting, reading, and enjoying time with my friends, family, and dog.
I pledge to do my best toward offering your student an academically rich program. I promise to create a safe learning community for your student's emotional and social needs. Life skills in organizational and social development will be modeled and stressed. I believe every student deserves the best educational experience possible, and I am acutely aware of my own responsibility toward allowing each student to attain the highest standards.
