María Vásquez Ventura

Editor-In-Chief

María Vásquez is a junior at MC School who covers politics and pop-culture. After her firsr year with the Griffin Gazette, she discovered the joy of sharing her writing with the school community and now serves as Editor-In-Chief. Her involvement in Model UN has fueled her interest in global affairs and public discourse. Outside the newsroom, she enjoys cooking, listening to music, and doing different service activities that bring positivity to her community.

Cristina García Marotto

Managing Editor

Cristina García Marotto is a junior at MC School and the managing editor for the Griffen Gazette. Although this is her first year on the newspaper team, she brings years of experience managing social media accounts. Outside of the newspaper, she enjoys running, drawing, and building with Legos. She is also a professional artistic skater on the national team.

Alexa Florián Suero

Lead Copy Editor

Alexa Florian is a junior at MC School and the newspaper's Lead Copy Editor. Writing in her language arts class and aiding her classmates with articles helped her discover her interest in editing and creative writing. She loves doing community service, excelling academically, and helping her classmates succeed too. Outside of school, she enjoys painting, shopping, designing spaces, and hanging out with her friends.

Dillon Shelton

Dillon Shelton is a teacher at MC School and serves as the Adviser for the Griffin Gazette. He teaches 11th AP Lang, 10th Lit, Capstone, and Public Speaking. Mr. Shelton is passionate about helping students grow as thinkers, readers, writers, speakers, and people. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son.
