Agribusiness Management is a course which presents the concepts necessary for managing an agriculture-related business. Concepts covered include: identification of careers in agribusiness, safety management, entrepreneurship, the planning, organizing, controlling and directing of an agribusiness, effects of government organizations on agribusinesses, economic principles, credit, record keeping, budgeting, fundamentals of cash flow, taxation and the tax system, insurance, marketing, cooperatives, purchasing, the role of technology in agribusiness, human resource management, and employer-employee relations and responsibilities. Prerequisite: Intro. to Agriculture, Food and Natural Resource or by permission of the teacher
