Basic Leadership Training & Leadership Academy

The Warrior Battalion hosted BLT and LA. 25 cadets were in attendance and graduated from the Area-16 approved camp.

STEM Leadership Academy

STEM Leadership Academy was held the first week of June at Spring Hill College. The cadets participated in STEM "on the water" activities including multiple field trips to industry and classroom instruction.

MCPSS Aerial Drone Competition

Congratulations to teams Warrior One and Warrior Two. Warrior One earned the Judges Award and Warrior Two earned the Skills Award. Both teams are advancing to the 2025 JROTC All-Service Aerial Drone Championship.

Congratulations to C/CDR Morghan Cooley for winning the 2025 Learning Leading Award. She not only earned designation as Davidson High School's award recipient but she was selected as the overall winner for MCPSS. Awesome!

Gatlinburg ski trip & Chickamauga Battlefield

It was a long bus ride, but a fun experience and a great Civil War history lesson. The Confederates killed, wounded, and captured 35,000 Union men in their victory at Chickamauga.

The Warrior Battalion was well represented at the 2025 JROTC State Leadership Conference. Hooyah!

Cadets visited the guided missile destroyer USS McFaul (DDG 74). Cadets received a ship tour, learned about Navy jobs, and enjoyed lunch on the mess deck!

The Warrior Battalion maximized participation with five teams in this year's National Academic Exam sponsored by the Commander, Naval Service Training Command.

The Warrior Battalion enjoyed a night of camaraderie and celebration at the annual JROTC Military Ball!

BLT/LA Preparations

Hard-charging Warrior Battalion cadets prepare for summer leadership camps. Cadets can attend Basic Leadership Training, Leadership Academy, and STEM Leadership Academy.

JROTC Leadership & Academic Bowl Level II

The Warrior Battalion qualified two teams to compete in the JLAB Level II competition. Both teams finished Level II and are eagerly awaiting their results.

Africatown heritage house

The Warrior Battalion is proud to honor African American history. The cadets visited and toured the Africatown Heritage House, which included an exhibit dedicated to the Clotilda. The Clotilda was the last ship to transport enslaved Africans to the United States. It was scuttled in 1860 to hide the crime and its wealthy perpetrators. The ship's wreckage was discovered in 2019 and is the most intact Transatlantic Slave Trade ship ever found.

Robotics championship

The Warrior Battalion's Saturn 8 team earned distinction winning the Skills and Excellence Awards at the Vex Robotics Championship!

The Warrior Battalion enjoyed their educational trip to Fort Gaines and the history of the Battle of Mobile Bay. The pizza was also good!

Drone competition

Teams Warrior One and Warrior Two competed in the first event of the 2025 MCPSS Drone League. Both teams had an exceptionally strong performance on the first day of competition.

President's day academic postal

The Warrior Battalion Academic Team competes in Union County H.S. NJROTC's President's Day Academic Postal. Who knew there was this much history on U.S. Presidents?!

Gator Games

The Warrior Battalion traveled to Escambia High School in Pensacola, FL for the Gator Games. Eight NJROTC programs competed head-to-head in multiple events testing their athleticism and teamwork.

United Way Annual Meeting

Pride and professionalism were on display as the Warrior Battalion supported the United Way's annual meeting with a color guard. The food was good too!

The Warrior Battalion hosted six schools for the inaugural air rifle match of the 2024 season.

Naturalization Ceremony

Warrior Pride was on display at the September 20, 2024 Naturalization Ceremony at which the Oath of Allegiance was administered to new U.S. citizens.

The Warrior Battalion met and exceeded this fall's fundraiser goal! Congratulations!

Cadets and students enjoyed a day of engagement with Col. (RET) Alexander Conyers, President of South Carolina State University, and his faculty and staff.

ENS Armando Chung visited the Warrior Battalion and shared educational and career opportunities available at the U.S. Naval Academy.

Academy for Chapter Excellence

C/CDR Cooley, C/LCDR Crawford, and C/LTJG Rand attended a one-day seminar where they networked, shared best practices, discussed ideas, and grew their leadership skills.
