Enrollment Steps
Please check your cumulative unweighted GPA.
Seniors: 2.5 or higher
9th - 11th: 2.75 or higher
Ensure that your first and last name, DOB and MCPS ID match exactly shown in Synergy
Enter your expected graduation year
Enter school name Walt Whitman High School (school code: 150427)
Use your personal email
This email will contain your M# and MyMC ID
May take a few days to receive. Longer if applying during peak registration periods.
Once you receive the email, you can claim your MyMC account.
Info needed: M# and MyMC ID
Need to setup a 2 factor authentication (DUO MOBILE)
This is where you will make course request and register for courses.
DE students cannot register for courses themselves on MyMC.
Complete the online NSO and download the certification of complete as a pdf.
As a first time DE student, you will need to upload certificate to DualEnroll account.
Must be a MCPS approved course
Reminder- you can take up to two courses for free.
Check the class dates and times
Write down the CRN # for your desired class
You must meet assessment levels and/or pre-/corequisites for MC courses.
You can submit relevant SAT/ACT or AP scores directly from college board.
Depending on your GPA and grade level, you can automatically meet assessment levels.
If you would like to place higher in English or Math, please contact DEPA for referral.
*** All DE students must have English scores on file.
Use the CRN to search for the course.
Once you request your courses, you will have required tasks to complete.
They will be highlighted in yellow, when they are your tasks to complete:
List high school courses for the term you are requesting
Proof of orientation
Every course request will need parent approval. Please remind your parents to check their email.
Your course request cannot be finalized unless this form is submitted to DEPA.
You can email a copy or drop off completed form in room 351.
