Toolbox is an evidence-based social emotional learning program that helps build resilience, self-awareness, and empathy in ourselves and others. It enables us to use the inner “Tools” that already exist inside us and use them to help problem solve and positively cope with our feelings and emotions in our daily lives. The tools and strategies taught in this program can be used by kids and adults of all ages, so we look forward to the learning and growing that we can all do together through Toolbox!
Over the last three years, the students and staff at Wilson Wims have been exploring the 12 different tools that we have within our inner toolbox. We are excited to continue this exploration and learn more about how to use our tools at school and home. Students will have the opportunity to participate in lessons guided by Mrs. Ioli and their classroom teacher to learn about the tools and how to put them into practice. There will also be different school-wide activities throughout the year highlighting the tools and encouraging their use in our daily lives.
