Hi there! My name is Mrs. Ioli and I am thrilled to be a part of the Wildcat Family as your School Counselor! I am really looking forward to meeting and working with you and your families, but until then I thought I would let you know a little bit about myself.
This is my 1th year working in MCPS. I graduated from Salisbury University with a dual degree in Early Childhood Development and Elementary Education and worked as an Elementary School Teacher for nine years in the county. I later went on to receive my master's degree in School Counseling from McDaniel College and started my career as a School Counselor in MCPS. Being a Montgomery County alumni and growing up in Germantown, I am thrilled to be back in this community as a Wildcat!!
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, especially my three children!! We love to read, build, bake, do arts & crafts, listen to music, and dance. We also love watching and playing sports and are always looking for a reason to get outside and go on an adventure!
My favorite part about being a School Counselor is building relationships and getting to know my students and families. I am looking forward to getting to know each of you and starting to build positive relationships to help best meet your needs. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions, or if you just want to say “hi!”
As your school counselor I am committed to helping students develop skills necessary to communicate effectively and to self-advocate in order to prepare for grade level and life transitions through developmental school counseling. At Wilson Wims, we believe that all students have the right to feel safe, supported, and empowered in order to achieve successes in school and life.
At Wilson Wims Elementary, our counseling program seeks to support the academic, personal and social-emotional needs of each student through collaboration with parents, community, staff, and administration. Each student will have the opportunity to participate in classroom guidance lessons, individual and group counseling sessions, and related support services in order to ensure that all students develop into respectful, responsible, and determined learners that are equipped to lead fulfilling lives as empathetic and responsible members of our diverse society.
