There are several steps on the 18th Street Main Entrance that may be difficult for guests who have difficulty with steps. The handicapped entrance with a ramp is located on D Street (on the left when looking at the main entrance). The D Street entrance opens at the same time as the main hall.
The handicapped tickets have a reserved seating label on the back of the ticket.
Everyone who requested handicapped seating is guaranteed seating for the individual needing a handicapped seat and one person to accompany them.
Around 15 minutes before the ceremony begins, if you see empty seats near the rest of your party in the handicapped section, you are welcome to join the rest of your group to sit together. The reason for this is if we have all families who have requested handicapped seating to sit together, we will quickly run out of space for those who requested handicapped seating.
Wheelchair seating is limited.
The person assisting the guest in a wheelchair will typically be asked to sit behind the row with removable seats, as pictured above.
If the handicapped guest is able to do so, they will be asked to move to a removable chair and the wheelchair will be stored in the foyer (not a secured location).
If the handicapped guest stays in their wheelchair, the blue chair will be removed from the row.
