It may take up to two weeks to prepare and complete the documents; please plan accordingly.
1. Ask Churchill for a transcript.
All transcript requests must be submitted using the Google Form located at: https://bit.ly/WCHStranscripts.
In the Special Instructions section, please indicate that your request is for the Apostille process and specify the number of copies of the transcript you need.
The registrar will provide original transcripts that include the principal's signature and the official school seal.
2. Get the transcript(s) certified by the IAE office.
Submit the transcripts to the MCPS International Admissions and Enrollment (IAE) office for certification. Their office is located at 4910 Macon Road (room 147) in Rockville, Maryland. Get directions.
The IAE team will -
Attach a letter verifying the documents as a true and accurate copy of the student’s record,
Have the letter signed by the IAE Director in front of their notary public, and
Seal both the verification letter and transcript and return them to the family.
If you are currently out of the country and someone else will be dropping off or picking up the records on your behalf, please email Ms. Maribel Jahanbakhsh-Tehran. Be sure to include the full name and email address of the person who will be handling the records. The person picking up your documents must present a valid photo ID.
3. Obtain a notary seal certification from Montgomery County.
Take the notarized documents received from IAE to the Montgomery County Licensing Department for certification of the notary seal. Their office is located in the Courthouse Square, 50 Maryland Avenue (suite 111) in Rockville, Maryland. Get directions.
Their office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
There is a small fee for their services ($1.00).

4. Take the certified documents to the Maryland Secretary of State's office in Annapolis for Apostille processing.
The office of the Secretary of State is located at 16 Francis Street, First Floor, Jeffrey Building in Annapolis, Maryland. Get directions.
The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. They are closed daily from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.
They charge $5.00 for their services.

You may be able to get the Apostille by mail, but you'll need to contact their office for this option.
5. Lastly, take the documents to the Embassy or Consulate of the destination country.
After receiving the Apostille, take the documents to the Embassy or Consulate of the destination country for final authentication and certification.
