The 25-26 School Year was full of hard work, tough challenges, and good fun! Whether it was dissecting chickens or doing standing problems in math class, competing on house days, doing individual genius hour projects, or going to a guest lecture, every day was full and enriching! Takoma Park was a winner in the State Science Bowl, Mathcounts, and Blair Coding Championships, and individual TPMS students achieved fame with National Writing contests as well. In April, many of our magnet students participated in the TPMS WE SHINE night showing off their creative and scientific passion projects.
We are already looking forward to a great 26-27 school year! In this special summer update, you will find information about changes to bus routes, summer work packets, a magnet family survey, carpool and directory information, and the newest META puzzle!

The family directory is an optional resource for TPMS Magnet Families only. TPMS Magnet families may choose, if they desire, to share as much or as little contact information as they want in the directory. By doing so, they agree to allow us to share that information, via the directory, only with other families who are participating in the directory.
The directory is organized by High School Cluster and allows families to connect with nearby families to create study groups, car pools, and other social activities.
If you are a TPMS Magnet family only, click the link below to add your information to the directory:
Last year many Magnet and non-magnet students participated in the META puzzle. Students who attempted the puzzle earned points for their HOUSE and got a chance to win a monthly prize.
Congratulations to our reigning puzzle champion, Alex Spencer, who successfully solved every magnet META puzzle last school year and won the annual prize for the second year in a row.
