From everyone here at TPMS and the TPMS Magnet Program, we hope you and your family had a fabulous summer and are as excited as we are to start the new school year.
If you are new to TPMS, welcome, and welcome to the magnet program. We hope this is a place where your child's needs, as a high achieving learner, can be met.
Our goal is to provide rigor, enrichment opportunities, and support. Our magnet teachers will enhance the curriculum daily, weekly and in each unit. Every semester, a project will be enhanced with either a field trip, guest speaker, or cross curricular connection.

Who are the TPMS Magnet Students?
In the 25-26 school year:
49.5 % of TPMS Magnet students scored in the highest level of the MAP Math Assessment (with another 42 % scoring in the next highest).
28.3% of TPMS 6th and 7th graders scored in the highest level of the MCAP Math Assessment (with another 61.6% scoring in the next highest )--number don't include Algebra and Geometry scores which haven't been released yet.

MCPS has only released the 26-27 Bus Routes!
If you are new to the magnet program, your child will board the Blair Magnet bus from a nearby elementary school. When the bus arrives at Blair, your child will stay on the bus and ride it to Eastern, and then to TPMS. (Some buses stop at Eastern--if that is your bus, your child will get off at Eastern and board a bus bound for TPMS.
Once you know your bus route, please go to the TPMS Magnet Transportation page to sign up for the Whatsapp group for your route!

The active involvement of parents, teachers, and students is essential to the success of the PTSA. Studies have proven that parental involvement provides children with a greater chance of achieving in school. The PTSA leadership and membership pledge to work together with teachers, school administrators, students, and the greater community to make sure every parent’s concerns are heard and every child’s right to a high quality education is realized.
