MUSIC BOOSTERS

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/SpringbrookHsMusic/

We are an organization of parents, students, staff, and interested community members, who have come together to benefit the Springbrook Music Program.  We organize fundraising activities, assist with field trips, music festivals, competitions, and performances.  Our ultimate goal is to build a stronger Springbrook community through musical enrichment, where all of us are valued partners in preparing our young people to become responsible, well educated, well-rounded, productive citizens.

Take a look at only a few quotes that can be found, illustrating how important music education is to our next leaders of society:

“It's [music education] terribly important, extremely important -- because when you are a child, you are in a receptive age ... In high schools, public schools -- that's where they must have the best influence, the first influence, which will go through their whole life.”

- Eugene Ormandy – conductor of The Philadelphia Orchestra

“A ten-year study indicates that students who study music achieve higher test scores, regardless of socioeconomic background.”

- Dr. James Catterall, UCLA.

Music has the power of producing a certain effect on the moral character of the soul....

- Aristotle - Greek philosopher

Join us in supporting Instrumental Music at Springbrook High School -- the Orchestra, Symphonic Band, Marching Band, Drum Line, Jazz Band and Jazz Combo – well over 100 students strong!

The Springbrook High School Instrumental Music Boosters, now an established Charitable Organization (501c3), has been working toward filling the need for support of Music.

Booster meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month, 7pm in the Band Room D108.  Please feel free to attend and become part of our mission. You are always welcome.
