Music Department 

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the music department is to develop within each student an understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity through the study of music.  

Students will also develop their creative and critical-thinking skills which are essential in the areas of problem solving and decision making.  Music as a form of communication and expression, upon mastery, can develop student's ability to express and explore their ideas in a medium more powerful than words. 

A valuable outcome of the music program is to develop performing organizations that will provide outstanding service to the school and community through performance and community service.
