Meet Your Counselor

About Ms. Scarola

My name is Nicole "Sonne" Scarola and I am the school counselor at Somerset Elementary School! I joined the Somerset community in December 2019 after graduating from Loyola University of Maryland with my Masters of Education in School Counseling. Before attending Loyola, I attended UMBC and received a Bachelors in Psychology. I am also a proud MCPS alumni!

My passion is to encourage students to achieve their goals from a positive mindset. I have dedicated the past eleven years of my life serving children in the community through teaching, coaching, and educating. I am always available for listening, talking, and creating a safe space for my students! I look forward to an awesome year. Go squirrels!
