Hello RCV! My name is Mrs. Cooper, and I am your full time school counselor. I am thrilled to be a part of the warm and welcoming community at Rock Creek Valley!

I am a lifelong resident of Montgomery County. I graduated from Richard Montgomery High School, earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Goucher College, and my Masters Degree in School Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. I have been working in MCPS for 25 years.

I truly love working with everyone and building relationships with students, staff, families, and the community. I believe that every student has strengths. The key is to use those strengths to find success in challenging situations. I look forward to continued collaboration with everyone at Rock Creek Valley to make each day positive, and to help our students grow and thrive! Hi! My name is Ms. Bamberger and I am the part-time school counselor at RCV. I am here every other week. I am so excited to be a part of the Rock Creek Valley family!

I am originally from Pennsylvania outside of Philadelphia (Go Birds!) I earned my Bachelors in Psychology and M.Ed in School Counseling from West Chester University of PA in 2016 and 2019. This is my 3rd year with MCPS.

I chose the field of counseling because I have a passion for helping students form healthy skills in different areas (emotional, social, behavioral, academic) that will assist them in their daily lives as well as in their future.
