Hello RCV! My name is Mrs. Cooper, and I am your school counselor. I am thrilled to be a part of the warm and welcoming community at Rock Creek Valley!

I am a lifelong resident of Montgomery County. I graduated from Richard Montgomery High School, earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Goucher College, and my Masters Degree in School Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. I have been working in MCPS for 27 years.

I truly love working with everyone and building relationships with students, staff, families, and the community. I believe that every student has strengths. The key is to use those strengths to find success in challenging situations. I look forward to continued collaboration with everyone at Rock Creek Valley to make each day positive, and to help our students grow and thrive!
