The middle school interscholastic athletics program is available for students in seventh, and eighth grade and consists of three sport seasons, including fall (cross country and softball), winter (basketball), and spring (soccer). All students participating in the fall season, as part of the MCPS interscholastic athletics program, must complete the online registration process.

Registration is done electronically through the MCPS Parent Vue Portal. (see below for instructions)

Students participating in tryouts are required to have a physical evaluation within the last 2 years. Please have your students MCPS Form SR-8 (last page only) filled out and signed by a doctor and available for upload when you register. A list of local walk-in clinics is available here if you are unable to get into see your pediatrician
Navigate to MCPS Parent Vue Portal.
Log in (if you are having trouble logging in please contact the RCMS main office at 301-284-4750)
Click on the tab in upper right corner that says "Online Registration"
Open the Pull Down menu and select "MS Athletic Registration"
Click "Begin Registration"
Follow the prompt through the entire registration process. This will take 10-20 minutes to complete.
