  • PLEASE UNDERSTAND - MCPS Athletics requires a Doctor signature and completion of MCPS From SR-8 (Click here to access SR-8) in order to participate in any athletics programs.  You will have the opportunity to upload this document during the registration process.  Form SR-8 must be completed in order to participate in tryouts - NO EXCEPTIONS!! A list of local walk-in clinics is available here if you are unable to get into see your pediatrician

Considerations 

• • Student Eligibility - To participate in any of these activities students are required to maintain a 2.0 marking period grade point average, with no more than one failing grade in the previous marking period. Students must also exhibit the appropriate behavior expected of a student-athlete on a daily basis at RCMS during the designated time period of the scheduled sport season or activity and beyond.  If these requirements are not met, the student is academically ineligible to participate on any of the athletic sports teams and/or in any of the intramural sports and extracurricular activities.  Eligibility during the season is up to coaches discretion based on current grades and student behavior.    

  • Practices - Generally are held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and/or Thursday from 3:10-5:15 (end of practice time and days is at Coaches discretion).  See Calendar on the Athletics Home page for Practice Schedule. Girls' Softball will generally practice on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 3:10 - 4:45.

  • Games - See below for the Game Schedule listing.  Students generally return from away game by 5:30pm. 

  • After School Transportation - The after school activity bus will begin running on Sept 29th.  Athletes will need to secure their own transportation till then.
