Secondary/Specialty NEO Attendees

On day 2 (Tuesday, August 12) of NEO, there will be a cohort-based rotational schedule. New secondary educators will either be in cohort 3 or 4. If you are in one of our specialty content areas, you may also be in cohort 3 or 4. You will receive notification of your cohort assignment and your personalized NEO schedule prior to Tuesday via PDO and your mcps email. Physical copies of the NEO schedule will also be available upon arrival in your NEO passport.

All new educators will have an opportunity to attend the following sessions/events on day 2:

• Daily kick-off

• Montgomery County Education Association (MCEA) presentation

• Creating Condition for Success session

• Community Fair

• Curriculum session (part 1)

• Professional Growth Systems (PGS)/ Evaluation presentation

On day 3 (Wednesday, August 13) of NEO, all new educators will attend the following sessions/events:

• Employee and Retiree Service Center (ERSC) presentation

• Curriculum sessions

• Choose-Your-Own Professional Learning Conference

Lunch and breakfast will be provided at Paint Branch HS on Tuesday and Wednesday of NEO.
