Information for All NEO Attendees

**You MUST be fingerprinted and cleared to attend NEO. **

Welcome New MCPS Educators!

Congratulations on becoming a Montgomery County Public Schools educator! NEO is an exciting time when you will also learn a lot that will help you as you begin navigating your MCPS world. You will learn about curriculum you will be teaching or supporting, how to create a learning environment for all students to be successful, information about benefits, leave, and pay, and so much more! The New Educator Orientation will also feature raffles and giveaways, a community fair, an ElevatED Professional Learning Conference, an opportunity to get your MCPS badge, and NEO swag.

This Google site will provide all of the essential information you need to prepare for your NEO experience beginning on Monday, August 10. Please see the table below for the NEO week at-a-glance.

Registration

Please register for NEO by completing the Google Form pictured below. Completion of the NEO Registration Google Form will help ensure that you can view your correct schedule for NEO through PDO.

NEW!! PDO App

PDO has a new app! The MCPS Professional Development Online (PDO) System provides course registration and comprehensive professional development support. Please download the PDO app to easily view your schedule and session locations during NEO, as well as complete attendance. If you encounter issues with the QR codes, search “Unified Talent Mobile” in your app store.

Register the App

Tap the app.
Select Professional Learning as the Product.
Enter CtZ9fV for the District Code. (case sensitive)
Tap Next.
Enter your username (no mcpsmd prefix or @mcpsmd.com).
Enter your password (the same password for Outlook login).

Parking for Days 2, 3, and 4 of NEO

On-site parking at Gaithersburg High School will be available for days 2-4 of NEO.

Breakfast and Lunch

Warm breakfast and a hot lunch will be provided on-site at Gaithersburg High School for days 2 and 3. If your content/curriculum area will going off-site on day 3 of NEO, please plan to bring your own lunch as we are unable to provide a warm lunch to the off-site locations. Warm breakfast and a box lunch will be provided at Gaithersburg High School on day 4. You also have the option to bring your own lunch or go off-site for lunch. Microwaves will be available at Gaithersburg High School if you choose to bring your own lunch.

Attire

There will be a different theme for each day of NEO (like a Spirit Week!).

School Spirit-- Wear your school shirt which you will receive on Monday.

Wednesday, August 12

#NEO Gear -- Wear your NEO swag which you will receive on Tuesday.
