This course introduces insects and their arthropod relatives. The focus will be to identify common insects and to understand the importance of insects on ecology, with an emphasis on insects’ impact on human life. In this course an insect collection will be used to demonstrate proper laboratory techniques and understanding of basic taxonomy.
