The Black-Eyed Susan Book Award is a student choice award for the state of Maryland that has been awarded each year since 1992. The award seeks to promote literacy and lifelong reading habits by encouraging students to read quality, contemporary literature. -MASL Website

Read 8 Picture Books and fill out your response sheet.
and/OR
Read 3 Chapter Books and fill out the google form for each.
and/OR
Read 3 Graphic Novels and fill out the google form for each.
If you complete the requirements for more than 1 category you can vote in each of those categories!
Teachers/Students were given their response forms during their introduction lesson. If you need an extra, please let me know!
Students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade who complete the requirements for Graphic Novels and/or Chapter Books and fill out the Google forms for each will be invited to a voting party!
The class with the highest percentage of students participating receives goodies for their teacher and themselves!
