What is the audition workshop? The audition workshop is an after school event where you will learn what you need to know for the actual audition. Students will learn the song and dance required for the audition and get a chance to rehearse them together with the director. Ms. Kirk will also be able to answer questions and provide more information about the process.
Do I have to attend the workshop? You are still allowed to audition for the musical if you don't attend the workshop, but you will be responsible for learning the song and dance on your own time.
How do I practice the song and dance? Practice materials will be provided online after the second workshop. There will be tracks for the song and a video for the dance.
Do I have to attend both days of the workshop? Both workshops will be the same so there is no need to attend both days. Choose the day that works best with your schedule.
Where do I go on the day of the workshop? Report to the cafeteria after school and sign in on the stage. Wait to be called to go with Ms. Kirk for the workshop.
Do I need to bring anything to the workshop? You should bring/wear clothes and shoes that are comfortable for dancing. You must wear shoes that are safe, so no flip flops or other shoes that may cause you to trip while dancing. We also recommend a water bottle.
What time does the workshop end? The workshop ends at 4:30pm. You must either have a ride on time or take the activity bus home. Please know your plans ahead of time.
