Mission/Vision of the Music Department
The goal of the GHS Music Department is to provide all students, regardless of prior experience or ability, the chance to explore musical expression in an engaging and meaningful way. The vision of the GHS Music Department is to offer a range of courses which reflect our school community’s interests and needs. By doing so, we hope to increase participation and improve the student experience within the music program.

Every student is challenged to engage in high quality arts education and will express ideas by applying visual arts theories and practices to new situations to become a creative, independent, and critical thinker. We open students' minds to new worlds and cultures and allow them to express themselves creatively and to value the multiple perspectives of others using critical thinking skills.
