Welcome to the CTE Department
Greetings Gaithersburg High School Community,
My name is Tiffany McEwan, Resource Teacher, of the Career Technology Education (CTE) Department at Gaithersburg High School. The CTE Department helps guide students aspiring to start a career, or join the military by:
Increasing Access and Opportunity for our students.
Developing clear and consistent entry and exit points for our programs.
Establishing trust, respect, and rapport with our students and community.

Congratulations to students who will be in the Automotive Collision, Automotive Technology, Cosmetology, and NJROTC programs for the 2024-25 school year! Join us for a welcome meeting on Tuesday February 6, 2024, at 6:00 PM here at Gaithersburg High School. We will meet in the Media Center on the 2nd floor. Learn more about these programs and meet your instructors.

Come check out what CTE is all about in this wonderful video from MCPS TV. Look closely, you will see some of your friends and teachers too! Our CTE programs here at GHS are Auto Collision, Automotive Technology, Cosmetology, Navy Junior Reserves Officers Training Corps (NJROTC), Business, Management and Finance, College and Career Research and Development (CCTD), Internship, Child Development, and Computer Science. In CTE, there is something for everyone! CTE it works!

The vision for the CCGS/CTE department is for all students at Gaithersburg High School to use the skills they learn through our various programs as a catalyst to lifelong success.
The mission of the CCGS/CTE department is to assist all Gaithersburg High School students in successfully graduating with the skills needed to transition to college, a career, or the military, through innovative instructional strategies.
