Welcome to the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Department at Gaithersburg High School. The CTE Department guides and supports students with exploring career interests including the military by:
Increasing access and opportunity for our students.
Developing clear and consistent entry and exit points for our programs.
Establishing trust, respect, and rapport with our students and community.

If you are a student who does NOT attend Gaithersburg High School, the deadline to send in your interest application is FRIDAY NOVEMBER 7TH 2025. GHS students do NOT apply. You will register for your interested program(s) later in the Fall.
Our part-time programs are: Auto Collision & Repair, Automotive Technology, Cosmetology and NJROTC.

The vision for the CTE department is for all students at Gaithersburg High School to use the skills they learn through our various programs as a catalyst to lifelong success.
The mission of the CTE department is to assist all Gaithersburg High School students in successfully graduating with the skills needed to transition to college, a career, or the military, through innovative instructional strategies.
