Our mission is to overcome negative thoughts about ourselves and become our best selves within a safe space.
- The club will be centered around giving students a community where they can be themselves and have a sense of belonging.
- Every member is given a journal to write positive affirmations and write what they are grateful for. This will increase self-confidence and overcome negative thoughts we have about ourselves.
- We will make personal vision boards that will help us to visualize our goals and dreams which in turn, will help us turn them into reality.
- Compliment cards-- write something positive about your peers.

Mission Statement:
As students at Winston Churchill High School, our passion for helping others has driven us to create a fundraising campaign and school club focused on promoting awareness, educating, and raising funds for kidney disease. Our mission is not only to spread awareness but also to educate others about kidney health. As certified kidney health coaches, we are committed to teaching our peers and community members about the importance of kidney health and the impact of kidney disease. We deeply appreciate any donations and support you can provide. Thank you for joining us in this important cause and together we can make a positive impact on the lives of those affected by kidney disease.
Club Objectives:
Through monthly meetings, we will present educational slideshows and discuss updates on our fundraising efforts. These presentations will cover kidney health, common diseases, the function of the kidneys, and the importance of early detection and prevention. We also plan on sharing inspiring stories of local people and individuals who have benefitted from the American Kidney Fund's work. Throughout the year, we will plan various fundraising activities and events, in collaboration with our officers, for our members to attend. We also plan on reaching out to local businesses to create fundraising programs where a percentage of their sales would be donated to us. Our members will earn their Student Service Learning hours by volunteering and being proactive at these events.

"The main objectives of DASA are to educate students about the effectiveness of Narcan, the dangers of drug abuse, and the impact of addiction. We work to ensure that all students have Narcan available and encourage MCPS to enact more anti-drug measures within the school system. A key highlight of our club is that it is a safe space for students to be able to open up about personal experiences with addiction, either personal or family etc. We meet on Thursdays in Mrs. Zitnik's room (243) on a bi-weekly basis.
