We are excited to share information about Summer RISE 2026 (Reimagining an Innovative Student Experience), a FREE career exploration program for rising juniors and seniors.
Summer RISE provides students with hands-on career experiences through partnerships with businesses, nonprofits, higher education institutions, and government agencies. Participants explore career pathways, develop essential workplace skills, and receive guidance from industry professionals.
Program Dates & Schedule
The program runs from June 22 through July 24, 2026, Monday through Friday, between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Students will complete a minimum of 50 hours of in-person, virtual, or hybrid experiences. Prior to beginning the program, students will participate in a professional skills orientation to prepare them for their placement.
Students who successfully complete the program will earn a Certificate of Completion and may receive a stipend, if funded.
Registration Information
Student registration opens Monday, January 12, 2026 at 8:00 a.m. and closes Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.
Registration must be completed using the student’s MCPS Google account at: STUDENT REGISTRATION
Before submitting the registration, parents/guardians are required to review the Summer RISE 2026 Parent/Guardian Agreement, available on the Summer RISE website: www.MCPS-SummerRISE.org
