Counselor's Corner
Attention Parents
Changes in the COSA (change of school assignment) process:
Important changes for the upcoming COSA transfer process:
Requests submitted after April 1, 2025, will not be considered unless there was a recent move or an emergency event that could not have been foreseen prior to April 1.
All COSA requests must be submitted online through ParentVue in Synergy. Parents who need support on how to use ParentVue to complete an online COSA request are encouraged to reach out to a staff member at their child’s assigned school.
Detailed information related to the COSA process can be found in the 2025-2026 COSA information booklet, which will be available at the end of January.

Curious about our new SEL (social-emotional) program?
It's called Harmony,a research based program that has been shown to create stronger connections to school, decrease bullying & teasing, & increase academic achievement.
It has 4 units:
Unit 1: Being My Best Self: managing emotions, positive self-talk, growth mindset
Unit 2: Valuing Each Other: empathy, perspective taking, support
Unit 3: Communicating with Each Other: social & conversation skills, non-verbals, listening
Unit 4: Learning From Each Other: conflict resolution, apologizing
All classrooms will be using the Harmony program daily during Pride Time.
In addition, Pride Time will include explicit instruction on Executive Functioning Skills, which studies show students are more challenged by than ever before. This is likely due to a combination of the results of Covid & the widespread use of electronics.
