We are happy to accommodate requests for reserving space in the Media Center for your class or small groups of students with staff supervision (e.g. small group accommodations with a teacher or paraprofessional).
To reserve space, please note that we operate on a first-come, first-served basis and can only guarantee space if you reserve it beforehand. You can make a reservation by:
Visiting us at the circulation desk, or
We have the following two spaces to reserve:
Instructional tables in the back of the Media Center
This area has 10 tables with 4 chairs at each table (40 chairs total).
Lab tables in the front of the Media Center
This area has 28 chairs with open desk space and 2 chairs with desktop computers (30 chairs total).
To better align the Media Center with the purpose of Advisory and Coyote Connect—which is to "provide structured time for students to work with teachers for additional support"—students should not be given passes from their teachers to the Media Center during Advisory periods. This is an updated policy.
For the safety and accountability of all students, we must strictly enforce the policy that students may only come to the Media Center during classtime with a clearly marked pass from their current period teacher. Please help us by ensuring any student you send has this pass. Students without a pass will be sent back to their classroom.
