OVERVIEW
AEIM has 3 large extra-curricular ensembles: Titan Marching Band, Titan Pep Band, and Pit Orchestra. We also have an Indoor Drumline and various Chamber Groups that are led by our AEIM student-leaders. Each meets and functions during a different season/ time of the school year and all are open to any and all eligible AEHS students. These ensembles meet at various times outside of the regular school day and are not attached to any class or grade. Students are not required to be in a curricular ensemble to be involved in any of our extra-curricular ensembles.

Q: Can I be in more than one AEIM extracurricular ensemble?

A: Definitely! Each year, we have around 60 students who are involved in 2 (or more) AEIM extra-curricular ensembles.

A: Although the expectation is to be enrolled in an AEIM class, it is not required to get involved in our extra curricular groups. We have a few students every year who have unique conflicts that prevent them from taking certain classes, as well as non-instrumentalists who join our color guard. All are welcome!

A: Absolutely - we have students from almost every single sports team (fall, winter, and spring) who are able to still be a part of all these groups! It takes a little bit of coordinating, but Mr. Casement and coaches alike are super supportive of students being involved. The only exceptions are 1) football players are not able to be in marching band, and 2) basketball players are not able to be in pep band (because of the extreme overlap in schedules).

The only requirement is that students be proficient on an applicable instrument (with the exception of color guard where no prior experience is required). Drumline members however must audition as spots and instrumentation are limited. Because of the nature of Pit Orchestra (very challenging music + limited rehearsal time), auditions are required for all students (disregard of instrument) to earn membership in that ensemble.
