AEIM has 5 curricular ensembles.

These ensembles meet during the regular school day and rehearse for 45-minutes each and every day. Students receive high school credits and a grade for their involvement, both of which contribute toward their graduation requirements and cumulative high school GPA.

A: Definitely! Each year, we have a number of students who are in 2 (or more) AEIM curricular ensembles.

A: Not only is AEIM full of AP and IB students, but our AEIM student-musicians are some of the most successful and highest academically performing students across all of Albert Einstein HS!!!

A: Not only can you do that, but THAT’s THE EXPECTATION!!! AEIM is a program, intended to help student-musicians grow and succeed throughout their entire high school career. Colleges also love to see continuity and longevity when it comes to student involvement during high school… and they LOVE student-musicians!

A: Most definitely! AEIM curricular-ensembles meet during the day throughout the entire year, and do not conflict with after-school activities such as athletic teams. In the rare circumstance that a concert and competition fall at the same time, MCPS teachers and coaches will work collaboratively to best accommodate the situation at hand.

A: Incoming wind (brass and woodwind) and percussion students should register for Concert Band. Incoming string players should register for Concert Orchestra. Any student wishing to be considered for Symphonic Ensemble or either of our Jazz groups must audition to earn membership in those groups (see "Audition Information" below for more details).

Required: for membership consideration in Symphonic Ensemble, Jazz Lab Band, or Jazz Ensemble.
