All identified MCPS students receive a Learning Support Plan (LSP) which provides anticipated strategies of differentiation that will be offered to the student through collaborative efforts between classroom and gifted resource teachers. Differentiation is a teacher’s proactive response to the needs of individual learners. Teachers can differentiate through content, process, product, environment, and assessment techniques according to the student’s readiness, interests, and learning profile.
A progress report will be sent to families at the end of each semester to document student growth.
