Hello Wilmeth Longhorns! My name is Courtnee Kendrick and I'm excited to be the new LMS at Wilmeth. I have been teaching in McKinney ISD for the last 5 years, and now I'm thrilled to share my love of learning through books and technology in the library!
I live in McKinney with my husband, Brad, and our two kids, Asher (11) and Harper (6). In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and crafting!

For January, students are encouraged to "Read Around the World" with a special passport, and books that will teach them about the rich cultures and communities around the world.
Black History Month is a time to celebrate and learn about the rich history, culture, and contributions of the Black community. Throughout the month, students are invited to participate in a special Black History Month Reading Challenge featuring books by and about influential Black leaders, creators, and changemakers. The library will also host engaging activities and learning experiences designed to help students explore important stories, voices, and achievements from Black history in meaningful and interactive ways.
Our Spring Book fair is coming up at the end of March! More info to come!
