Classroom guidance is an integral part of the School Counseling program at Slaughter Elementary. Guidance lessons teach positive character traits such as kindness, responsibility, respect, empathy, perseverance, courage, trustworthiness, cooperation, gratitude, and student competencies such as conflict resolution, healthy relationships and emotional regulation. The school counselor will meet with each class once a month to introduce the character traits in a fun and interactive way!
