From Laura Bates-I love a well made Google Slides Template. Graphic design has always fascinated me! Here's a few of my tricks....
Slides Carnival is a super slick way to download a Google Slides template and customize it to fit your needs. Students can also use Slides Carnival if they log into SSO and go to their Drive before they try to download a theme.
I also found a super cool spiral notebook Google Slides theme in Task 3 that you can use with your students.
Task 1: Watch the following video to get a basic idea of how Slides Carnival works...some of the terms have changed in the updates, but you'll get the gist! One big difference in this video is Slides Carnival actually forces you to make a copy now.
Task 2: Watch the following video if you would like to import a Slides Carnival theme into an existing Google Slides presentation.
Task 3: Take a look at this Google Slides Notebook Google Slides theme I found on Twitter! It has enough post its, labels, stickies, and tabs to meet anyone's needs! I am using the template with a 3rd Grade Book Club, and they LOVE it! I made the template work for what we needed, and then I put the link on our Book Club Google Classroom so we can all work on it at the same time. You could also make it an assignment when each student could get a copy for them to use!
