Digital Books

Did you know McKinney ISD offers ebooks and audiobooks for free through our digital library collection?

Use your MISD account to send books to your computer, Kindle, Nook, or iDevice or listen to audiobooks on your computer, smartphone or e-reader.

MISD students have two digital content collections available for use:

Follett Destiny Library & Sora Overdrive Digital Library

Overdrive offers access to both eBooks and Audio Books. Students can check out three elementary level items at a time for 7 to 21 days.

Sora & Overdrive Digital Library can be accessed on a computer, tablet or smartphone.

Open a browser window and go to mckinneyisdtx.libraryreserve.com OR download the free Overdrive or Sora App to search for books on your device.

The new Sora App allows students to quickly check out books, track their reading progress and earn badges.

Look up books and eBooks for recreational reading and research. You must log in with your school username and password.

TumbleBooks

https://www.tumblebooklibrary.com/

The TumbleBooks site includes ebooks with audio for kids. Many are animated, talking picture books with games and puzzles. Children can read along, or just have the book read to them. They have recently added “Read-Alongs” for older readers with some popular chapter books. All books play directly in your internet browser window, so there is no software or files to download to your computer.

Check with your Media Resource Specialist, Teacher or Digital Tools/Passwords Document for login information.
