Priority Goal- Ensure teachers process the value-add of technology in instruction by providing supports for changes in pedagogy through the lesson design process.
Objective- Utilize instructional technology coaches quarterly during the lesson design process.
Action Plan #1- Teaching teams will be provided classroom coverage for half-day instructional design time each quarter that will include a direct focus and support for digital resources. (SY 2019-20)
Action Plan #2- Teaching teams will participate in a book study facilitated by the LMS and content area instructional coaches using the Apple iBook, Elements of Learning; Designing Deeper Student Learning Experiences with Apple. (Semester 2- SY 2019-20).
Technology Area: Educator Prep and Development
Priority Goal- Provide targeted and ongoing embedded/just in time professional learning for instructional staff.
Priority Goal- Provide classroom management strategies to support 1:1 technology use.
Objective- Utilize instructional technology coaches to model best practices for technology use in the classroom during the instructional day.
Action Plan #1- Instructional coaches model best practices in every classroom with 1:1 computers at least once per quarter. (SY 2019-20)
Action Plan #2- Cross campus/content specific teams will participate in online blogging opportunities to share out new ways to successfully manage a 1:1 classroom. (SY 2019-20 Semester 2)
Technology Area: Leadership and Instructional Support
Priority Goal- Empower campus leadership to build a community of reciprocal trust that values innovative teaching strategies with new technologies; inspire through actions.
Priority Goal- Support community partnerships through educational opportunities for parents.
Objective- Provide quarterly leadership sessions that include the ISTE Admin standards and classroom look-fors.
Objective- Create community communication standards for administrators that include opportunities for parent learning with technology.
Action plan #1- All campus admin and instructional coaches will participate in an online book study using the iBook, Innovation in Schools; Design Learning, Teaching and Your School Environment with Apple facilitated by the district level instructional technologists. (SY 2019-20 Quarter 1)
Action plan #2- Campus admin will create quarterly “look for” documents for digital instructional rounds that include the ISTE standards. (SY 2019-20 Semester 2)
Technology Area: Infrastructure
Priority Goal- Empower student technologists to troubleshoot technology issues.
Priority Goal- Streamline filter issues for high school students and staff.
Objective- Create a campus process and procedure for student support and internet filter requests.
Action Plan # 1-Student technologist will be trained on Apple devices to troubleshoot and solve level 1 issues for teachers and students during the class day. (SY 2019-20)
