Registration Process

MHS DUAL CREDIT REGISTRATION - Step by Step Directions

(Steps #1-3 must be completed by Friday January 30)

1. APPLY -  NEW DUAL CREDIT Students:  Apply at applytexas.org 

1. Double check you are applying for the correct term and that you fully submit your application (Fall 2026). 

2. Please allow 2-3 business days for your application to be processed. 

3. Your Workday login information will be emailed to your personal email once accepted. Be sure to check your  spam folder.  

4. Do not use your ISD email to apply, ISD emails block outside emails from Apply Texas and Collin 

2. Once you complete the online application, you will receive an email from “Workday” (formerly called CougarWeb).  This email will have your CWID # as well as the login information (can take a couple of days to receive).

3. MISD Dual Credit Selection Google Form:  Once you have your CWID # or if you are a current Dual Credit and already have your CWID #, fill out the google registration form (link below).  This is where you will select your Dual Credit Courses. Dual Credit Registration Form   

4. Complete and Sign the two Permission forms - DUE April 1, 2026:

1 .Dual Credit Permission Form  (Collin College’s Permission Form, DO NOT change the format. You can get a printed copy from C-100 and fill it out)

2.  MISD Parent Acknowledgement Form (MISD’s Parent Permission Form)

3. Give the signed permission form to your counselor or email it to your counselor.  There are also copies of these forms in the counselors’ offices or with Ms. Morales in C100.

5. Set up OneLogin (New Students)  

1. You’ll receive your OneLogin username and temporary password via helpdesk@collin.edu  

2. Tip: Set up OneLogin on a device that you will have access to at all times. 

3. Click on the Workday app in the OneLogin portal 

4. Please review your customized list of registration requirements through Workday Tasks 

6. TSIA - Determine with your counselor if you need to take the TSI

1. Take the TSIA2

2. Minimum score requirements for the TSIA (refer to TSIA Testing tab).

3. TSIA will be offered at McKinney HS on Dec 9th. 10th graders will be taking the ELA portion of TSIA2. Refer to the TSIA Testing tab for information on registering for the exam. If student does not test at MHS then student has option to take the TSIA at a Collin College campus: www.collin.edu/studentresources/testing/availabletesting/tsi.html 

4. Returning students with a partial TSI status will not see a TSI hold, but will need to provide scores if they are  signing up for a course in the subject that they do not have scores for on file.  

7. Bacterial Meningitis Vaccine (Only for students taking courses on a Collin Campus) 

1. Students taking courses on a Collin campus will need to provide a valid bacterial meningitis vaccine record  or exemption at least 10 days prior to the start their course.

8. Registration (Completed by Collin College) 

1. Dual Credit: Work with your High School Counselor to build your schedule 

2. Your high school will provide this information to Collin College for registration 

3. Angela Morales, our Collin College Advisor will register the courses for you, from the Google Dual Credit Registration Form.

4. College Credit / Concurrent Credit: Review course schedule in Workday to determine location days and times for the course. All courses require high school counselor approval. Registration is completed by Collin  College 

9. Payment - Due May 1, 2026

1. You may pay online through Workday or through the Cashier’s Office 

2. More information about payment methods, policies and installment plans is available online at www.collin.edu/bursar/paymentpoliciesandmethods.html   All payment must be completed by your high school’s payment deadline if earlier than Collin College’s deadlines. 

10. Get Ready to Start Classes! 

1. Attend orientation at your high school campus (at the beginning of school year)

2. Purchase textbooks if needed 

3. ACCESS/Disability Services (Request accommodations) 

i. Accommodations do not transfer over from your High School classes.  

ii.To receive accommodations in your Dual Credit classes, you must apply through the ACCESS Office, more information is available at www.collin.edu/studentresources/disabilityservices/ index.html
