Lip Sync Battle 2022

1st Ever DMS Lip Sync Battle Dates: 

Rehearsal: 4-6 PM on Tuesday, December 13 | THE BATTLE begins at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, December 14

Here are the rules:

1. The first 12 acts to turn in their registration forms will be allowed to participate; all others will be alternate teams in order of registering (due Wednesday, November 30).

2. Each act is responsible for their own props and costumes (costumes must follow the school dress code).

3. All contestants must be ready on time. Will forfeit performance otherwise.

4. Each act must prepare at least 2 songs, and have a "team name" for their group.

5. Songs and performances are limited to 2 minutes each (you will potentially perform twice, so make sure both songs/performances meet the time requirements).

6. All songs and performances must be in good taste. Mrs. Truitt reserves the right to veto any dance moves, costume choices, etc. based on school appropriateness.

   • 1. 1. • You must have the full performance, costumes & props ready to show Mrs. Truitt on the rehearsal date for final approval.

7. You will receive the order of performances at the dress rehearsal on Tuesday, December 13.

8. You will be judged in the following categories by a panel of 3 judges:

   • Originality & Creativity

   • Appearance (costumes, props, stage presence)

   • Best Use of Theme

   • Lip Sync Ability

   • Audience Engagement

All decisions by the judges will be final.
Rules are subject to change at the discretion of the Theatre Department.
