SSO is or should be an icon on your desktop. Click on SSO to see the screen (image to the left). If you do not have the SSO icon, go to https://sso.mckinneyisd.net/idp/AuthnEngine#/authn in Google Chrome to log in.
You will log in to SSO using the same credentials as last year:
Username: s****** (The ****** is your 6 digit student ID)
Password: your unique password
Email studenthelp@mckinneyisd.net to ask for a password reset. You will be given a temporary password.
Once you have entered your username and temporary password, you will be prompted that your password has expired. Click on the link in LIGHT BLUE to change your password. PLEASE NOTE THE LINK IS HARD TO SEE AGAINST THE BLUE BACKGROUND.
Enter your username again, and create a new password.
When you update your password, it must meet the following criteria:
12 characters
Must include at least one upper case letter, lower case letter, number, special character (at least 3 of these)
You may NOT use any part of your name, ID number, or birthday in your password.
Do NOT use the @ symbol in your password. (It gets mistaken for an email address)
If you were successful in changing your password, you will see this message. If you receive an error, please go back and make sure that you meeting all the criteria for your password. When we see errors in student passwords, it is frequently because all criteria was not met.
If you have technical problems with your laptop (such as you cannot even log in to the laptop), contact studenthelp@mckinneyisd.net for assistance.
Technical problems include (but of course not limited to):
You can't even log in to your laptop
The time/date on your laptop is "off"
You can't get WIFI connected
Your laptop won't power on
You've lost your charger and can't even charge your laptop
